More than 200 Mandate Trade Union members in Ireland’s largest pharmaceutical chain will participate in a seventh day of industrial action on Friday, 27th July.

The strike relates to a claim for increased pay and improved conditions by Mandate Trade Union on behalf of its members employed by Lloyds Pharmacy.

The Labour Court issued a recommendation stating that the company should engage with their workers’ designated representatives, Mandate Trade Union, but to date the company has refused to negotiate.

This has left the workers with no alternative other than to take industrial action.

SIPTU officials and activists should show their solidarity by joining the workers outside the head office of Lloyds Pharmacy in Ireland at United Drug House, Magna Drive, Magna Business Park, Citywest Road, Dublin 24 from 1pm on Friday.

Please take pictures of your visit on your iPhone and send them on to pcole@siptu.ie

In solidarity,

Gerry McCormack,

Deputy General Secretary
